Eliza is a barrister specialising in industrial relations, employment and discrimination law. Her strategic approach to litigation is informed by a unique professional background that enables her to identify creative solutions and construct compelling arguments in complex disputes.

Prior to being called to the Bar, Eliza was Senior National Legal Officer at the Mining and Energy Union, where she acted against some of Australia’s largest corporations, securing the largest wage underpayment recovery in Australian history. Her work has resulted in significant precedential outcomes across Australian industrial relations law.

Eliza was recognised by Doyle’s Guide (2023) as one of Australia’s Leading In-House Employment & WHS Lawyers and is a 2025 recipient of the Joanna Knight Scholarship. She was elected President of Union Lawyers and Industrial Officers (NSW) in 2023 and 2024, and serves on the Board of the Coal Long Service Leave Corporation.

Before entering the law, Eliza held senior leadership and board roles across Sydney’s cultural sector, including as Executive Officer of MusicNSW and board member of FBi Radio.
